Greg Illingworth along with Kevin Peraza and Alex Coleborn head to Johannesburg for week 2 of the MiTH SA Tour.
The crew pack their bags in Durban and take the trip up to the city of gold, a city well known for its crime and urban landscape, from a BMX perspective it`s basically a mecca for riding bikes.
One of the goals of the MiTH Tour was to connect with the local scene by meeting up with locals in each city, the session at Stoneridge skatepark was packed with faces from the Johannesburg BMX brotherhood where Greg Illingworth first started his BMX journey.
The following day the #RIDE4RAY memorial BMX jam was held in downtown Johannesburg to celebrate the life of Ray Malinga, who passed away in 2015. Ray was a mentor to many riders in South Africa and it was incredible to see so many people travel from all over to pay their respects, with close to a hundred riders bombing the streets there was little that security could do to stop the gathering.
On a more random mission the crew came across a ghetto DIY skatepark, Kevin Peraza went straight to work on it and made riding the awkward transitions look way too easy.
